GL-1500 Seat Cover Installation Instructions

Note:  FIT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED IF YOUR SEAT HAS BEEN CUT DOWN OR ALTERED

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE YOUR SEAT.

COVER CAN BE INSTALLED WITH SEAT ON OR OFF YOUR BIKE.

  1. Place your Goldwing on its center stand.

  2. Remove the pilot's backrest from the bike (if applicable)

  3. Lay the seat cover over the seat on your Goldwing. Stretch and pull the perimeter bungee cord over the rear of the seat (fig. 1). Work the bungee around and under the front and sides of the seat.

  4. Stretch the front of the seat cover forward and work it over the front of the seat. You may need to lift up slightly on the sides of the seat. The bungee cord should be under the front and sides of the seat.

  5. Fold the back (passenger) seat cover area to the front. Take the middle bungee cord (fig. 2) and stretch it around the driver's lumbar support (fig. 3). Push the bungee back as far as possible.

  6. Slide all the excess driver's seat material under the lumbar support.

  7. Pull the remaining material toward the rear of the passenger's seat. Turn the back of the seat cover inside out and roll it over the back of the passenger seat.

  8. Take dowel pin attached to rear of the seat cover (fig. 4) and guide through drain hole located in lower rear of passenger seat (fig. 5)

  9. To install passenger's backrest cover, start at the top of the backrest and pull the cover downward - working the cover between the backrest and the trunk. Install the pilot's  backrest in the same manner after installing.

CLEANING AND CARE OF YOUR SEAT COVERS

  1. Clean your seat cover with a damp cloth and a velour cleaner.

  2. To protect the new look and prolong the life of your seat cover, periodically apply a product like "Scotchguard."
